Grace Lopez-Williams
Grace Lopez-Williams is the founder and owner of one of Atlanta’s fastest growing Hispanic CPA firms. Prior to establishing her successful Certified Public Accounting firm Grace Williams CPA, Williams received her MBA from Loyola University and her BBA in Accounting from the University of Puerto Rico. Since her move to Atlanta in 1994, she has achieved great professional success as a Latino businesswoman in the community.
Williams was the first Latino member appointed by Governor Roy Barnes to the Workforce Investment Board, and also the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce bestowed upon her the award of Business Woman of the Year. Women Looking Ahead names her Atlanta’s 100 Most Influential Women in Business. Additionally, Williams serves as the President and Founder of the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Chapter of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs. In 2000, Hispanic Business Magazine selected Williams among the 100 Most Influential Hispanics in the United States. In 2004, Georgia State Governor Sonny Perdue appointed Williams to the Georgia State Board of Accountancy. The following year, the Georgia Women Entrepreneurs recognized the achievements of women-owned businesses, and included in this acknowledgement was Williams who co-founded the Ivy Preparatory Academy for Girls, the first of its kind charter school in Gwinnett County and for serving as a founding member of the Atlanta Sunrise Bank. Lopez-Williams is also first Latina to serve on the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce board.
