Carmelo Alvarez

Carmelo Alvarez is the Agency Field Executive of State Farm Insurance. He works in the insurance company’s internal departments of Claims, Underwriting, and Learning and Development. Carmelo has been involved in various roles and leadership positions during his employment with the corporate office, working on Department, State and Enterprise wide projects and committees. He is accountable for the successful teams that comprise new agents in the states of both Georgia and South Carolina, training next generations of agents. Holding a Master’s in Business Administration from Northern Arizona University, Carmelo continues to expand the company’s market area and to develop the future leaders at State Farm Insurance.

Throughout his 19 years with State Farm Insurance, he has lived in Arizona, Illinois, Texas and now Georgia. Though he has lived in various states, he always stays very active in his local community. He has participated in organizations such as United Way, Special Olympics and Habitat for Humanity, and been involved with Georgia Association of Latino Elected Officials, National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, GAMA-Solutions for Industry Leaders and the Latin American Association during his time at Georgia. Carmelo is also active in sports, competing to achieve the title of a three time Ironman. He is also a competing triathlete and runner, but most importantly Carmelo is a successful family man. He is married to Michelle Rene who is the owner of a hair salon and is a proud father of his two daughters: Alexis Alvarez and Taylor Alvarez.
